Fly Agaric, Amanita muscaria

Autumn wouldn't be complete without a photo of the quintessential toadstool, the Fly Agaric. Red for danger of course, it's really quite poisonous.

I'm undecided about the first photo, half of which was in light shade the other half in sun. I quite like the composition but it looks like two photos stuck together to me. Does it work or not, what do you think?

Particularly like the second one. I somewhat agree with you on the first one. To me it would have been much better if the sun lit one had been in focus.

I think the second one is by far the better image. Your personal feeling about the first image is right on the mark IMHO.
