Free photo editing software for the Mac

I just came across this article listing the "Best Free Photo Editing Software for Mac in 2023." Here's the link.

Have any of you tried the software listed here? If so, which?

Funny they didn't mention the free software provided by the camera makers.

Most of the usual suspects. Are you looking for a free program, and are you shooting raw image files?

Apple photos is what I used for years before Adobe and it is very functional software. It will also edit raw images.

I've used PhotoScape for years and still do. It's very versatile, quick and easy to use, I much preferred version 3.7 to the current version which is X; you should be able to find a download for 3.7 on the Internet. I've also used GIMP a bit, it has many of the features of PhotoShop but I found it too slow and complicated for general editing. It's too bad there's not a version of FastStone available for Macs, it's a really nice bit of software and also free.
