Getting Creative with Wildlife photos

Does anyone else play around with their “good but could be more interesting“ photos to try and give them a bit of sizzle? Or a little “Arty”? One such manipulation below using Topaz Studio.View attachment 13516

I may have taken this one too far, but I am thinking art pieces for a young child’s room might be an appropriate market for this kind of whimsical image.

I think that is great!
I played with Watercolor filter in PS many years ago, and liked the result. Not a lot in other software then. Is Topaz Studio the choice now for "painterly" effects?
Post more, please.

I do all kinds of things with my images, from wildlife to landscape. I add textures, borders, create watercolor effects, do borders and frames, some created from PS and some presets from various programs. I have several hundred images with all types of effect. This one is a landscape from Yellowstone with a texture added.

That works really well, in my opinion! Thank you for posting...I must try having some fun on landscapes myself. 🙂

Oops...I realize that the question was in reference to animals and I posted a landscape! So, here are some animals. Most often I'll just put a background behind an animal (using layers and masks mostly) but sometimes I do mess around a bit with the animal itself. The top three have a background texture (purchased) done in PS. The bottom left has a background texture from a photo I took of a Eucalyptus tree (the bird was in the tree) and the bottom right background was a flag photo I took. The cheetahs in the middle I did a sepia look and added a texture over the top.

Not restricted to wildlife! Your photos are great! Clearly you are very skilled with Photoshop, or something similar.
