GFX100S II/GFX100 II AF for birding?

One of my cameras is GFX100S, and it is fantastic for, well, anything, including more or less stationary wildlife. With new generation of this camera I was hoping to be able to use it for moving subjects, and may be even some BIF, but early reports were disappointing. I know that Fuji AF-C is not on par with even Nikon, and Sony/Canon leave it even further behind. But with recent firmware for GFX AF - may be there is some hope? Does anyone here use GFX II for wildlife, and may be even BIF? I don't like wasting money on try-outs renting, and there is barely any info on the web for this topic.

Its AF still sucks. I own the GFX100 (The OG) and rented the new one for an automotive shoot. If failed miserably on slow moving cars, so I can't imagine it will follow a flying bird.
