I'm primarily using a Gitzo Series 4 monopod and a Wimberley MH-100 with my Z8 & 800 pf combination, and this is working great; I can go for miles comfortably with this setup. However, there are times, like when monitoring a tree cavity for owls, when having a gimbal would be much easier. I own a BH-55 and Wimberley Sidekick, but combined with an RSS- TVC 24L, I find it much tougher to hike long distances.
Has anybody tried the Jobu Jr. 3 Deluxe with the 800 pf, or is there a lightweight alternative that you have found provides solid support for this type of use?
Thank you!
