Taken this past November in very overgrown vegetation at an abandoned golf course. This bird would give me intermittent peeks as it foraged for insects. This is one of the smallest songbirds in North America, even smaller than warblers at 3-4.5" long. They're so small that I mostly find them by ear, however their high pitched song and call are out of the hearing range of most older adults. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Golden-crowned_Kinglet/sounds#
