Maybe worth sharing for some but likely known by most that are here…. We went to the Outer Banks, N.C. in 2021. I took a D850 w/long glass & my Df with a shorter lens. When dumping the card in the iPad I noticed a black spot in the upper left corner of the image from the Df. Subsequent images showed the same spot (recreated here) in other photos. I was convinced there was a spect of debris on the Df sensor. Knowing this was a VERY delicate maintenance thing I read up on how to do it and ordered the kit pictured below. Think it was about $32 through Amazon. It worked and the Df sensor was successfully cleaned and the spot removed. The image was edited and the spot removed. Yeah, you can do this….
