Spring has officially arrived in North Texas. I spent an hour or so on a thicket of blooming wild plum trees this afternoon. I was able to capture a couple of this somewhat cooperative Gray Hairstreak Butterfly.
If I could change them, would uncover the head of the first and get the wingtips more in focus on the second.
Notice the Southern Corn Rootworm Beetle on the underside of the flower in the top photo as well. I didn't notice that until I arrived home and downloaded the photos.
