Yesterday, I was at one of my favorite birding spots, Iona Regional Park, which is just North of Vancouver International Airport. I thought I was going to take photos of Tree Swallows and Red-winged Blackbirds. But I found several Great Blue Herons landing on, staying perched on, and taking off from various trees. I took photos of those birds instead. All photos were taken with my Nikon D500 and Sigma 100-400mm C lens. Here are some of my favorites.
