Great Egret

The number of great egret have rised a lot over a few years at my local wetland and they make great subjects for images. Took the image on my first outing with the Nikon Z8 which just replaced my old D850. Love the subject detect focusing!! I want to upgrade to the Nikon Z180-600 but the bank needs to recover so this image is taken with my old f-mount sigma 150-600 contemporary adapted with ftz II adaptor.

The lighting really adds to the effect of the picture.

Great photo. I’m still using that same adapted Sigma zoom lens On my Z 7. It’s a good lens for the money. Other than the convenience of no adapter, I haven’t been able to justify trading it in for the Nikon 180-600.
