I thought I had already posted these but couldn't find them so...I had a big surprise and thrill Thursday when a friend called out "Look at that big white Heron, i.e. Great Egret" gliding in amongst about 50-75 Gulls feeding on a huge school of probably baby shad. 9/19/24 Only the second one I've seen out at the dam. The first was at least 8 years ago.
