Last week I shared several pictures of a GGO futiley hunting a well known vole meadow in southern Oregon. For those fascinated with GGOs as I am, I just posted 133 (out of 900) pictures on my website at mrtk.smugmug.com (culled for clarity both in picture and story) which are in mostly chronological order starting at 6:30 AM. The last was taken at 9:15. It rained the night before. The day was cloudy; the grass tall and wet: the mosquitoes relentless. Structure, function, feathers, and posture are all on display. For those that are curious, the flight pictures were shot on a Z9 at 700 mm (500mm f/4e + tc 1.4), f5.6, ISO 12,800 (auto), and at 1/3200 - 1/4000 of a second. Perched pictures at around 1/800. PP in Lightroom and Denoise.
