Yeah.When we shot the birds they were on the bank of river Kaveri and we were on a boat.Frankly at that time( 2018) we were new to birding and did not know what we were shooting though we were pretty close .If we had known we would have circled back and taken many more photos.Very interesting birds. After a quick Google, I see that they've actually got long legs and are on their knees in this shot.
Thx Callie.Sadly both are in "Near threatened" conservation statusVery nice image. Again, they resemble their less seen OZ cousin, the Beach Stone Curlew.
