Striking shorebirds, common here in Nova Scotia, in flight and on a rock. But can be hard to tell apart unless you hear them, see the 2 together (Greater is much bigger), or get a detailed look at the bill length and some plumage features. Here are a Greater In flight and on a rock, and a Lesser on a rock.
