this was about a month ago in the middle of san francisco (in a pond in golden gate park) and i was on the hunt for ring-necked ducks & hooded mergansers; while i didn't see any of those, i did see a hungry hungry grebe and a poor little crawfish (except they're invasive so good job mr. grebe!). also, all these pictures depict the same grebe - during and after the delicious meal
