Well.....I was a little late to pull the trigger. This juvenile Green Heron had landed fairly high up on this branch sticking out of the water. I was expecting it to walk down to the base and hunt from there as they normally do. I rarely see them dive. The Z9 seemed to follow the eye fairly well in this case. 3d with animal eye detect. Not great light, heavy overcast, iso1600 is higher than what I like to use. I ran the files through DxO PureRaw(Global sharpening turned off) and then very light DeNoise AI 5/5. I have +20 more images in the sequence.

Love these! My favorite would be the first image, love the way the wings fan out and frame the face of the bird. Excellent series
