I love those Green Herons! Great focus on that all-important eye and the feather detail is great.
Now for my suggestion: The log to the right is somewhat distracting so may I suggest you try cropping a bit off the right, trying to get the eye on the right side of center. You may still have some log visible that could be cloned out. I would also try adjusting the luminous or the saturation of the green in the background, bringing the brightness down. The bird itself could use more contrast by maybe brushing it in in LR and therefore showing off that great detail. That being done, I think the subject/heron would pop nicely and the bird would be looking into the negative space of the image.
Just my two cents that I hope might be helpful.

I believe that it did help to remove the logs, which were to the left and right of the bird. Thanks.
