One of the common birds we see on our ponds and lakes, a Pied-billed Grebe. I like this one because of the early morning (about 15' after sunrise) light reflection on the water. This bird is in breeding colors (shot was taken in April of this year). Shot with an R7, 100-500 mm lens at 363 mm, ISO 3200, SS 1/500, f/7.1. Camera was held at water level, eye tracking AF was used and remote shutter release was used. Shot at Whelan Lake Reserve.
Processed with PS, with bird brought up slightly and BG brought down slightly. Small pieces of unsightly debris were cloned out behind bird.
