Our guide knew exactly where to find these guys. (Can't recommend him enough; if you ever want a photo tour of Brazil, happy to pass on his info). We had four or five males in close proximity. It is an amazing bird; quite beautiful and unique as you can see. I only wish we had a bit more cloud cover providing a more uniform background. But quite an experience, just the same.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment. Yes, a very unique bird; never had seen it before. The females are quite bland (as is often the avian case) but these guys are far from it. As mentioned, we had 4 or 5 of them; all just roosting in the trees/brush about 6 ft. off the ground. We were able to photograph them for as long as we wanted. It was quite the experience.
