Yes Koos, very sad. I am guessing someone did that? The sting looks thicker than fishing line and it had to get over the branch stub above.

When I was growing up there were gardeners/farmers who would hang crows (and gophers) they had killed from fence posts to (so they said) scare off others from raiding their crops (or digging holes). Awful.

Yes Steven, Man is probably the leading animal when it comes to killing their own so killing a bird, crow, or gopher wouldn't even take a second thought to many people.
