This property is in the hands of Nassau County, but at one time was owned by William Cullen Bryant, as a summer home of about 7 acres overlooking the Long Island Sound on the North Shore of Long Island. Apparently Mr. Bryant was quite the poet and writer, etc in the first half of the 19th century.
