I had a chance to shoot again with a local Falconer and his Harris Hawk. Amazing to get so close to a bird like this.

Good series! I was able to fly one many years ago, an experience I'll never forget, especially how gently they land on your hand (even when you're holding food!)

This one was born in captivity and trained from a fledgling. None of them are tame, just trained. He does pest mitigation with other hawks he has and can't necessarily mix some of them at the same site because they will attack each other. Fascinating.
