In reverse chronological order / most recent to oldest. The 5DsR and 1DxII shots are from 2018-2019, the rest December 2024 to present.
As I've mentioned, this is a new thing for me starting in earnest Thanksgiving weekend 2024. I was interested before but never did much with it or had "long" lenses other than a 300 briefly. I've really been enjoying it so far.

1. Fly "over" - not my best photo but it was fun to catch for obvious reasons !

My favorites (by far) are #1 and #4, although both of these deliver totally different content
#1 is my favorite because the story is like if the eagles watch the heron as if they were in a theater watching the actor. Great
#4 is my favorite because the animal is strictly from the side, on eye level, almost monochromatic, still not B&W, perfectly transferring the stress level from the heron to the viewer. Congratulations đź‘Ź

Beautiful set. #4, Mud Flats is my favorite.
Thanks. Interesting about that day as it was one of my remaining days in my intensive period of "get out almost every day regardless of conditions". I chose to go out to get more proficient with the different settings and approaches dictated by variable conditions and this particular evening it was raining considerably. When I go out though I go ahead and put on goretex pants or bibs and jacket and boots so that if I feel compelled to lie or sit in muck, it's not too bad, but it's also a lot warmer to be still for a while in cold and damp weather when dressed accordingly.

That shot was in the short time when the rain paused but we were both soaked already ;-)

Seems the days when we force ourselves to get out turn into some of the best.
