Hiking in the Medicine Bow National Forest

Sunday I hiked the Medicine Bow Peak - Lakes Trail Loop.
I got to the trailhead just before sunrise and was able to get this shot as the sun was coming up.
That's Lake Marie in the foreground.

The trailhead was approximately 10.500'.
When I started the hike there were trees but that ended at a little above 11,000'.
Medicine Bow Peak is at 11,990'.
I was going to guess the trailhead was about 10K feet! LOL! I used to backpack the Sierra Mountain range when I lived in California......more than a few years ago!
