Spent the morning hoping to come across the "so many" Whitetail deer along Toronto's Don River this morning; nicely there was a pretty heavy frost in the river valley; I mean, it IS November! Other than when kneeling in a mud flat, waiting for some Mallards to drift into the coloured reflections in the river, which they never did, and noting right next to my knee some deer tracks, I spotted no deer. Nicely, to put something on the memory card, this White-throated Sparrow perched with a distant fall-coloured foliage as a backdrop.
