Hi , Having just commented on the discussion forum on birds in flight thought I would post this sequence. Photographing Hobbys diving for dragonfly's is about as challenging as BIF photography gets for me. Whilst attempting to capture the action I noticed dragonfly's would sometimes throw themselves into the water at the last second in an attempt to avoid being snatched from the air. This tactic often worked but this one bird was wise to it . Having missed on its dive it quickly circled around and snatched the dragonfly from the surface in a quick low pass. The whole thing was over in a second or so.

Love that you increase the surroundings in the follow-up shots. Good to have the splash, water droplets and reflections gives kind of perspective.
