Craig, nicely done, and much more difficult with the short lens than a tele. Love the fact that the wings are visible - my images often have it as a complete blank.

No flash, but it was a very bright, sunny day. So I could use natural light albeit with a high ISO due to the small aperture and high speed to freeze the wings.
It's called luck. I didn't show the half bee, part bee, out-of-focus bees in the hundreds. Only the lucky shot.

Not luck. When you are dealing with moving insects, shallow depth of field ..... most of the shots just won't be any good. But a few like this one will be excellent! Patience is rewarded.
