After seeing posts about the Hoodman Eye Cups, I visited their website and did some browsing. Has anyone used their "Steel" CFExpress cards and/or their CFExpress card reader? I'm more interested in the reader than the cards, but am curious as to whether or not anyone has feedback. Their cards are a bit slower and only modestly cheaper than Delkin Black from B and H, so am not likely to purchase, but it's always good to have comparative data.

I have two 128GB CF Express cards from them.
The one purchased over a year ago is faster than the one I purchased recently. I did get that one through ebay, so not sure if it could be a fake or not, but on my initial card, I get unlimited shots on the Z9 with High Efficiency* RAW and on the newer one I only get about 80 shots or so before the buffer runs out. Not an issue for me as I intended to use the second card for Video and don't use any prores resolutions for that.

Quite a difference between the two though and I do not know if this is normal variance within their own production (they do not claim a minimum write speed afaik) or if I ended up with a fake one.

Thank you. It's interesting that the write speeds vary so much, but at least they are working for you.
