Hornet, Caterpillar with a Hat and Dew Caught in a Net

Here are my last few keepers (for me at least) from my D55 + Nikkor Micro 105mm VR from the weekend and holiday day today in Austria - tomorrow I have to get back to work again...

It looks like the hornet has additional eyes on top of its head - or are those some kind of other sensors?

Does anybody know this caterpillar? It is only about an inch long. The "hat" looks funny.

In the morning we had fog and there was a lot of dew suspended in the spider webs.

The eyes on top of the Hornets head are rudimentary eyes called oscilli ?
The caterpillar is a Dagger sp I think.
