How do I add a photo to multiple collections at one time?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

In Lightroom Classic:

Example:
If I have a collection set named family. And within that collection set I have 4 collections: mom, dad, daughter and son.

I have a photo of the entire family of four together: mom, dad, daughter, son

Now I would like to add the photo to all four collections. Is there a way to add the photo at one time to all four collections?

I don't think so. You can keep the photos selected and drag them to different collections, or make a collection set called family that contains your collections of father, son, daughter, etc. You can make a smart collection based on keyword or a certain color, etc. So if you labeled a photo son, it could automatically go in the son and the family smart collection. The painter tool is a fast way to apply keywords and/or place things in a collection. Also you can select via keyword or by face recognition. You might check out the Lightroom Queen to see if they know more.
