You just have to set what output you want in the photo shooting menu>image quality. AFAIK all cameras other than very basic ones have this ability.

You can only see EXIF info for this image if you are logged in.

Yes changed it to JPEG only RAW still says ON but no raw in DCM list ...so is that OK

Not sure what you meant by "RAW still says ON" if you don't see the RAW files in DCIM folder. By all account it looks like you got your desired setting?

In the menu listing raw says ON no means to make it say OFF but as you say only JPEG on the card ..another nikon madness

I think what you’re asking is how to remove raw as a menu option. If so, that isn’t possible.

I've got a Z50ii right in front of me. There is no "Off" for "Raw Recording" (two lines below Image Quality). However, when you choose JPEG under Image Quality, there is no RAW recorded.

Yeah, that's just 'if you shoot raw, then it's whatever kind'

Having an off option there doesn't make sense, and would only cause more headaches.

I don’t own a Z50II, but having read through the reference guide, I can understand why some users find certain of the menu choices baffling.
