The hummingbirds like to sit on the metal post that holds my hanging flower baskets and feeders. This time, it was startled by a red ant that had climbed up the post. The bird flew all around the ant, sat down a inch farther away, then flew around again when the ant kept getting closer. Then the ant stood up to face the hummingbird, but slipped off, leaving the hummingbird victorious. I wish I was filming it instead.
