I am actually asking for a friend ..Z8 issues after loading 2.1 firmware

In S mode the shutter speed stays at 1/30 second when the dial to change it is moved on my Z8 after loading firmware 2.1. and in A mode the aperture will change with the dial but the shutter speed stays at 1/30 second regardless of the lighting conditions.... any suggestions??? I really am asking for a friend I have a Z9.

They're probably in video mode. Flick the switch on the back.

Cameron, you were absolutely right ...thanks for the help... we kept try to peg it on the firmware update and all it was was a misplaced finger movement.
