I use an app called Merlin Bird ID - free - and it agrees with you on the bird

Yes, Great-crested Flycatcher. Easiest ID field mark for this species is sound -- it calls frequently and its two most common calls are loud and distinctive. Merlin is a good, and free, app that will play the calls and analyze recordings of calls in addition to analyzing photos for species ID. Its sound analysis capabilities are amazing and great learning tools. Once it analyzes a sound, it will list the species. Then when that species vocalizes again, the listing will light up in yellow as the bird calls or sings.

Very nice picture, Charles. And I concur with everything that's been said above about Merlin Bird ID. I use it regularly, and it's pretty good.

Thanks you to all for your comments. I did not hear the bird toot, fart, yelp, screech or whatever.. I'll get that Merlin Bird ID, right now.
