Today I experienced something for the first time in my life.. being only 3 m / 9 feet away from an 3 member deer family in the wild! The parents fled quickly but their baby accepted me as one of them, and kept feeding right in front of me.

He then got so close to smell me and then wondered off in peace. My heart was racing at 180 beats per minute, my body pumped with adrenaline.. but I remained calm, taking deep slow breaths and did not move a muscle (ok i moved my finger to take photos and a video). I present you Bambi!

Congrats on a great experience. It is certainly interesting to be that close to wildlife. Pretty cool when it's something as benign as a fawn.
