Seeking information about photographing Sandhill Cranes in Kearney, Nebraska.
I've photographed the cranes in Southern, Arizona which is great. People there recommended Kearney and I have my first chance to go there.
I've found guided Photography Tours at the Iain Nicolson Audubon Center @ Rowe Sanctuary. Anybody familiar with this location? Tours run from March 18 th through April 10th. First remaining openings are April 4th. Is this likely to still be in Prime Time?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I went on one of those tours many years ago and it was excellent. In addition to the mornings and evenings at their blinds, you can find cranes in fields during the day. As it was long ago, I don't know what is prime time these days. But I do recommend the experience.

Thank you. That sounds similar to AZ.

A good friend of mine, who's a fairly famous bird photographer, told me the best opportunity to photograph cranes along the Platte River is to do an overnight stay in one of the blinds at the Rowe Sanctuary. They opened booking on January 5th, and sold out on the first day (I missed it myself ☹️). But, there are a few other outfits that offer day viewing, as does the Rowe Sanctuary itself (https://fareharbor.com/embeds/book/roweaudubon/items/?full-items=yes). Tom Mangelsen says it's one of the natural wonders of the world.

That would be wonderful. I’ll be in Kearney Sunday 4/3 til Tuesday 4/5. On the 6 AM photography tour at Iain Nicholson Rowe Sanctuary Monday 4/4. Text me at 602-390-4352. Malcolm
