I was at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge on Monday evening and saw this injured bald eagle. I notified the visitor center the following morning (they were closed when I was there) who said they would look into it. I went back yesterday afternoon and he/she moved to a different brush but was clearly still not well. I went back and told the visitor center again and they called the ranger.
I called back today for an updated and they were able to capture it and transport it over to Tristate Bird Rescue & Research in Deleware. Hopefully it fares well!
