Instagram

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

I recently checked out Steve's Instagram's account and thought it was a great way to show his wonderful images. My question is, "Is it only a Mac, Ipad or Iphone that can upload images to Instagram?" I use Windows 10 and I've tried to come across a app or program that allows one to post photos from a PC. I've yet to come across a good solution. Surely Instagram would want to accommodate pc users wouldn't they? Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn’t have to do with the operating system, it’s just how Instagram chose to set up their platform... for mobile devices only. There is a work-around that I use with google chrome that allows me to do it from my desktop computer, which is an iMac. Not sure if windows would work, I would think so? I’ll see if I can find the link to the YouTube video that explains it.

If you use OneDrive on your PC you can install OneDrive on you mobile device and access the image. I don't believe that Instagram can access the OneDrive folder directly (at least on my iOS devices) so you will have to open the image in OneDrive and then save it to photos then post it from photos.

Same but different from above, I have a NAS (network storage) at home that I can access from my phone. Finish my editing, upload to NAS then access via Instagram on phone. They closed down access via laptop etc. just under 12 months ago from memory
