Insurance for camera gear

I got a quote from RVNA that's very reasonable and apparently has good coverage. Anyone has experience with them? The only bummer is it does not cover water damage if dropped in a lake, river, ocean, etc.

I would not buy insurance that did not cover water damage unless you are always shooting in a desert. I had a friend fall in a stream and his cameras got totally submerged. Good thing he had insurance

Correct, the RVNA insurance won't cover you while shooting from a boat. See language below. By my reading, you could be on a bridge or the side of a river/lake/stream and be covered if you drop your camera into the water.

"Do you understand and agree that you do not now, and will not during the policy period engage in any On-the-water, Pornographic, Underwater, and/or War Photography/Videography?"

Interestingly, the above question is part of the application, but there's nothing in the actual policy that prohibits on-the-water photography.

As I read the restrictions if you engage any prohibited activity the policy is void. So if you take cruiser, you lose the policy
