I just listened to a preview of ON-1 Photo Raw 2025 which could be interesting.
In view mode, roughly comparable to Photoshop Bridge, you are able to group similar shots and merge them into a container they call "stacks".
In my case I tend to always shoot in pre-capture when photographing birds, so I always have 9 shots (@25 f/s) or 17 shots (@ 50 f/s) that was in the buffer when I fully pressed the shutter and most often nothing happened, so they are wasted. I can now combine all those shots into a single thumbnail in the browse function.
Like most I also take multiple shots and try to pick the best one so this feature works there also.
The software is not out yet.
