Is it appropriate to display non wildlife, landscape or macro subjects?

If you would like to post, you'll need to register. Note that if you have a BCG store account, you'll need a new, separate account here (we keep the two sites separate for security purposes).

I'm going to make an assumption here. Looking at all Steve's blogs and forums he is all about nature. That will broadly include all forms of wildlife including macro work and landscape photography. Looking at the main forums that he created on Backcountry Gallery, that's what he is about.

My gut therefore tells me these are not the most appropriate forums for motor sports, architecture, fashion & studio, etc. I guess it's a case of horses for courses.

Never shot animals or nature stuff at all but there are a good few synergy's in technique and gear with the areas I work in, plus I really rate Steve's videos etc. I do take a look at the images posted here and appreciate the skill needed in the capture even though I've not much interest in the actual species etc.

Quite a few of the specialist forums I'm on have an "off topic" area where other images can be posted, some folk even put animal photo's up ;)
