Thanks. He (pretty sure young of year buck due to the little "buttons" on its head) was quite curious about the 2 silly humans out walking on the trail in the rain.

Truth is he was eating acorns and looked up from the feast to see why a human was so interested in his breakfast.

I did run the photo through Topaz Photo AI. At 12,800 ISO, the Canon R7 is not a "low light high ISO monster" but it works well enough.
Here is the next photo in the sequence with the only post processing being cropping and down sampling to get under the 2mb limit on the site.

Thanks. I thought it added some interest to an otherwise "normal" deer photo. He was munching on acorns and pretty intent on eating them. Not sure what the tongue action was but he was chewing on an acorn and we were close enough we could hear the crunching as his teeth cracked the nut. After this series of shots, he went back to munching the acorns. We stood in one spot watching him for about 10 minutes before he meandered deeper into the woods.
