I am halfway through my trip to two Texas wildlife ranches. I was at Laguna Seca for sessions on three days, and now it's off to a three day workshop at Santa Clara Ranch hosted by Hector Astorga. Actually, the numbers and variety of birds at Laguna Seca was sub-part, partly due to wet weather and high winds. But even on a bad day, the birds there are amazing. I used a Nikkor 600mm f4G tele coupled with the TC14eiii teleconverter on my Z9 for this photo of a handsome male Painted bunting. ISO 1000 processed with Topaz DeNoise AI
