Very nice! Can I ask what your exposure was? I recently tried my first attempt at astrophotography, in looking at star trackers some had "moon" setting, which I'm not sure is necessary. I was always taught the Sunny-16 rule works, as the moon is indeed a sun-lit object. As such, I've gotten many good photos of the moon using Sunny-16.

Thanks. My setting were: iso 200. f/8, 1/500

Really nice and sharp! I think sometimes we fail to get such good images because of atmospheric conditions.
Thanks and absolutely the atmospheric conditions can make all the difference. I actually had a relatively low (for MD in the summer anyway) humidity which I'm sure helped.

I never getting tired of the moon. Taking photos, staring, looking at photos, etc... it's alway good

Nicely done
Thank you Hut. I appreciate it. And yeah, there's just something about seeing details of something 230K miles away, especially taken by regular folks. The Hubble though and those types of photos are beyond amazing.
