This hooded merganser struggled with his prey for some time trying to choke it down while also being pursued by other interlopers. In the end, patience by the sea gull paid off as others looked on. A little to far for quality shots but fun to watch.

Great shots but I always wonder how they can just swallow down something so much bigger then their throat. Same with snakes. Once again, I take my hat off to Mother Nature.
