I was lucky enough to have this Kingfisher perch just outside the hide I was in for about 10 minutes.
I that time I took a few shots.. nearly ran out of battery... but have since added the battery grip to my D500.
The image was taken with the 200 - 500 lens, and it was just about at the minimum focus range. Next time I will have my trusty D3 with me and a shorter lens.
