Does anyone know the length of the foot on the Kirk 180-600 lens collar? The Nikon foot is pretty short and I like a longer foot for better tripod balance and carrying. Right now I'm using a Kirk plate which is 4" compared to the Nikon stock foot of about 3". I've been dragging my feet about buying the Kirk replacement collar because of the $265 cost. I almost bought the Leophoto callar but read of two dropped camera/lenses because the QD pulled out of the Leofoto WD socket. The Leofoto looks nice and almost a direct copy of the Kirk for $99, but my Z8 and 180-600 cost a lot more than the $165 that I'd save.. I'd appreciate if someone with the Kirk could measure the length of the Kirk for me. Thanks.
