Landscape Lens

I use a Sony A7Riii, soon to be joined by a A9ii
I am starting to do more landscapes and I am seeking a lens suitable for landscapes. I already have a 24-70mm G master lens but I would like something wider. The Sony 12-24mm f2.8 would do nicely but at £2900 it’s a bit pricey. I am looking for an alternative. Does any one have any thoughts, experiences or recommendations please.

I shoot Fuji XT and have got a couple of Samyang lenses after reading reviews. Both used, 1 from ebay the other from MPB at Brighton. Paid £200 each and they are both as new. Well impressed with the build and image quality. I've got a 12mm f2 and an 85mm f1.8. New prices are cheap too.

Other than that, Sigma and Tamron are decent makers. I saw a review on the Sigma 85mm f1.4 Art lens that concluded it was the best 85mm f1.4 lens in the world. Not a landscape lens but they do make wide glass too. Tamron have also stepped up their game and are good value.

This page from Camera Price buster shows the best price for Samyang Sony FF lenses in the UK although they don't have every retailer on their books and you sometimes see better prices or one-off special prices that are cheaper

To be honest I have been a Nikon shooter since 1987 and till date use Nikon only. You could try the Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM (SEL1635GM) if the 12-24 is not in your budget. Do not know about the pricing of this lens in the UK but one of my friends who is a Sony shooter here is Singapore raves about this lens. He exclusively uses this lens for his landscape work. Here is SG this lens is priced around SG$ 2,581 equivalent to around UK£ 1,458

100% samyang 14mm f 2.8 just set at 10ft and f5.6 and shoot . fantastically sharp and cheap. Although it has a chip in it a plain adaptor would be fine.
Just checked they do it in sony mounts and there is an AF version for more money.
