Ugly as hell but fun of character. And they do stay still for a portrait sitting!

Superb detail, lighting, and portrait,John
They may not be pretty, but are an essential component in the food chain,
What camers/lens combo did you use to get so close?

Hi Gaduf, currently off to a reserve for a few days as part of a slow 600km drive from the north coast back to Nairobi with a photo chum and will check details in LRC when I get back on Saturday, it was either a D7500 with a 70-200 or the D500 and 200-500.. It was perching after a meal and a slow approach got within lens range. Been cropped a tad.

Thanks for the heads up John,
