Been laid low for a while due to a strangulated hernia. Now fixed but I won't be swinging a long lens around for a while.

Taken as the tide eased out over the mud flats near here.

Thanks all for the comments. A bird I am particularly fond of. Feeds quietly like this on the shore most of the year around but in the spring breeds in land and is such a skittish performer in the air.
